A visit to Geppetto’s cow
chairs and step stool factory
Cow chairs or step stool bodies? They can be both; a handy cow shaped chair without back, commonly known as a stool, or a sturdy and stable step stool for you to step-on and gain that extra reaching height when required.
These bodies are made of planatation pine plywood and are ready for the final assembly operation.
Final assembly requires the ears to be fitted to the head, the head to the body and the seat with the built-in carry handle to the top of the body and legs.
These cow chairs or step stool components have just been cut on the bandsaw and will now be sanded smooth on the disc and drum sander. The next stage will be on a bench router to tame the exposed sharp edges.

By popular request we have decided to keep it simple, no fancy CAD design, just copies of the original Geppetto cow chair design.
The templates will be available as a download with the option of real paper templates by snail or air mail for a small additional cost.
